Angels take hot streak into humid Detroit

Lost in the hoopla of Ervin Santana's no-hitter in Cleveland was the fact that the victory left the Angels with the best record in baseball since June 13 and lifted them a season-best nine games over .500. It also gave them a league-leading 25 come-from-behind victories and, by taking two of three from the Indians, the Angels have now won 10 of their last 11 series.

The Angels hope to keep that string of success going Thursday in the humidity of Detroit, where they meet the Tigers in an afternoon game. Right-hander Joel Pineiro, who has struggled in his last two starts, allowing 10 earned runs in 5 2/3 innings, will be on the mound.
