The X Games folks are kind enough to provide the working media with guides featuring tidbits about the history of the event and all its different sports and athletes.
One of the most interesting sections of the guide is the "fun facts" about this year's X Games.

1 -- X Games 17 marks the first time the event takes place in a single location in L.A. It previously had events in Carson and at the Los Angeles Coliseum, but it's now centered just in downtown Los Angeles.
4 -- Bob Burnquist, Rune Glifberg, Andy Macdonald and Dennis McCoy have competed in all 17 X Games.
17 -- Countries represented by athletes at X Games 17.
17 --Years that skateboard and BMX have been in the X Games.
22 -- Number of disciplines at X Games 17.
28 -- Height, in feet, of the quarterpipe of the Big Air ramp.
42 -- Days that X Games staff will be on site building, constructing or tearing down.
70 -- Trucks of scaffolding.
70 -- Height, in feet, that the elevator inside the Big Air ramp ascends.
73 -- Two-way radio channels dedicated to the event.
95 -- The length, in feet, of the spectator bridge over Figueroa Street.
300 -- Tuff Blocks used on the Moto X courses.
1,004 -- Two-way radios.
1,201 -- Overall number of medals that have been awarded in X Games competition through 2009.
3,100 -- The length, in feet, of the Rally course.
400,000 -- Pounds of concrete used to anchor the Big Air ramp.
4.5 million -- Pounds of concrete used to barricade the Rally course.
